For the past 10 years, K2 has proven that you don't stop moving because you get older, you get older because you stop moving.  Our training team has more experience and a greater track record helping seniors increase their activity levels, increasing their strength and increasing their fun...even if they never exercised before.

Strength training is life long. Strong muscles expand your recreational options and enable you to complete common tasks—carrying groceries, shoveling snow, climbing stairs, keeping up with kids and grandkids—with more energy and less pain.  The correct exercises improve strength and balance, promoting more resilient bones and preventing falls. Strength training aids your body in living better for a longer period of time,

As we age, we get increasingly sedentary, so we need to be more deliberate about developing strength. Muscle mass decreases with age—a phenomenon known as sarcopenia—as do metabolic demands, which can lead to packing on extra pounds. Strength training can help reverse these trends, improving general health, bone density, muscular strength, mental and emotional well-being, and longevity.

HOW IT WORKS....

​Classes at K2 will all be 45 minutes in length, and they’ll operate as full-body circuit classes, with a mix of strength and cardio intervals. While most of the classes on the schedule will be small-group format, maxing out at four participants, 

Step 1:  You can jump right in and start training.


Step 2:  We sit down with you to discuss your needs and goals so that we can start customizing your training.

Step 3: You decide if a small group training works for you.  We also offer and encourage a mix of private training and individual DIY conditioning.   We then decide on a training schedule and get moving towards your goals

Step 4: We work together to customize your workout plan, diet needs, and daily habits so we can maximize your energy and results

Step 5: You start your journey...begin to look and feel better, strength and flexibility improves and overall general health is enhanced
